Bulk QR code generator from Excel or CSV

One QR code for every row of your spreadsheet, named from your own columns, read back to check it works, and ready to print on labels.

How to create QR codes in bulk from Excel

  1. Add your list. Choose an Excel or CSV file, or paste the lines directly.
  2. Say what goes in each code. Pick a column, or combine columns with fixed text. The preview updates as you type.
  3. Choose names and output. Name the files from a column, add a caption, and pick PNG, SVG or a PDF of labels.
  4. Generate and download. Each code is read back, and any problem is listed by row number before you print.

What people use it for

Static codes: no expiry, no tracking

The content is written directly into each code, with no short link in between. A static code cannot be edited after printing, but it also cannot be disabled, and it does not depend on a subscription. If you need to change destinations later, point the code at a page you control.

Printing tips

Use at least 20 mm for a simple link and more for long content. Keep the quiet zone of 4 modules, and use dark ink on a light background. Always test one printed code with a phone before printing the whole batch. If you print on adhesive label sheets, compare the PDF grid with your sheet first: it is a general grid, not matched to a specific label brand.

Private by design

Customer lists, ticket IDs and internal links stay on your device. The spreadsheet is read by your browser and generation runs in a background worker on your own computer.

Known limits

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes. It is 100% free, with no usage limits, no account, no sign-up, no watermark and no paid plan.

Is my data uploaded?

No. Your spreadsheets and lists are processed inside your browser and never leave your device. The page only downloads its own code from this site. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics receives anonymous usage data such as page views, never your files, their names or the contents of your codes.

Do these QR codes expire?

No. They are static: the content is stored in the pattern itself, with no redirect through any service. They keep working for as long as the content inside them is valid.

How many QR codes can I generate at once?

There is no row cap. The practical limit is your device’s memory: the whole ZIP is built in memory. A tested batch of 20,000 rows worked on a laptop browser.

How do I make QR codes from an Excel list?

Choose your Excel file, pick the column with the links or write a pattern such as https://example.com/p/{SKU}, choose the column for the file names and press Generate. You get a ZIP with one image per row and, if you want, a PDF with labels.

Can I add a text label under each code?

Yes. Choose a column as the caption. It appears under the code in PNG, SVG and the PDF. The PDF uses a standard font, so characters outside Western European alphabets appear as question marks there; use PNG or SVG for those.

What does “read back” mean?

After creating each code, the page decodes it again with an independent QR reader and compares the result with the original. It catches broken rows and unreadable colour choices. It does not replace a test print and a scan with a phone.

Are the file names safe if two rows have the same name?

Yes. Repeated names get -2, -3 and so on, so nothing is overwritten. The ZIP also includes manifest.csv, listing each file with its content and check result.

Analytics: only if you accept cookies, the page loads Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) to count visits and see which tools are used. It never receives your files, your text or the contents of your codes. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page.
